Dealing with a chronic disease like migraine can be tough. I sometimes feel like a real baby for just not pushing through the pain. Yet, this isn’t the kind of thing that is easily ignored.

I’m definitely not faking it, though there was a time when I did use disease to get attention. I grew up in a big family and being the sick one seemed like an easy way to stand out when I was already a sickly kid. Still, that’s no reason to feel guilty about getting migraines now.
If you have any chronic condition like migraine you may feel the same way. It can be isolating. I recently wrote an article about it for Bezzy Migraine called 3 Tips for Feeling Less Lonely With Migraine.
If you are dealing with migraines I hope you find it helpful. If you are looking for support for migraine or for another condition, Bezzy offers communities for people to get together online and find support. So far they have the following: MS, breast cancer, IBD, migraine, type 2 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, and psoriatic arthritis. They’ll be launching more in the future.
Be well!
